Southern Medical University Shenzhen Hospital is a tertiary Grade A comprehensive public hospital invested and built by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government and fully managed by Southern Medical University. It was established on December 28, 2015. The hospital covers an area of 82000 square meters, with a total planned capacity of 2500 beds. It currently has a clinical medicine school and 6 national standardized training bases for resident physicians
As the first landing project of the "Three Projects" in Shenzhen, the hospital is the only university affiliated hospital in the Qianhai Free Trade Zone that also has medical research and teaching functions. In 2022, it became the first comprehensive hospital in Guangdong Province to pass the tertiary evaluation according to the 2020 version standards. We have clinical key specialties (gastroenterology) in Guangdong Province and 5 medical key disciplines in Shenzhen, and are one of the first units to pass international hospital accreditation
